For it is good that the heart be esbalished by grace. Hebrews 13:9

Over the past 800 years God has saved the Navajo people from destruction at least four times.
They survived during the great southwest drought. (1200-1300)
They escaped the Spanish invasion (Coronado 1450), and subsequent conquest and colonization of "New Mexico."
Their population actually increased during the "Great Dying Time" (1835-1875), when 95% of the Native Americans living west of the Mississippi died from newly introduced European diseases.
They survived the terrible "Long Walk" under Kit Carson (1864-1868), and returned to build the modern Navajo nation.
I believe God was preserving the Navajo people for Himself. History is His story. God knows the end from the beginning. He knew the Navajo people would respond to the Good News and spread His gospel of grace to the ends of the earth.
