Greek Word Study

1.  There are a number of valuable Bible Study tools that can deepen your walk with God - as Christ is revealed to you in deeper ways.  One of these tools is a Greek Interlinear study Bible.  You can actually find some really good, interactive and user friendly, Greek and Hebrew Interlinear study Bibles on the Internet.  I found one at http://bible.crosswalk.com/InterlinearBible

2.  Another great Bible study tool is the Strong's KJV concordance.  You can also find this on the Internet at http://bible.crosswalk.com .  Choose KJV with Strong's numbers, type in a word, and then click "find."

note:  KJV stands for King James Version.

4.  After you know the numbers of the Greek words you can look up their meanings in the Strong's Concordance - also online.

5.  Epipipto means "to embrace with affection," or "to seize" (with more or less violence), "to fall upon", "to lie upon", or "to press upon."

P.S.  The URL http://bible.crosswalk.com has other Bible study reference books such as Bible commentaries, dictionaries, word pictures of the New Testament, encyclopedias, and a harmony of the gospels.   I find these reference works easier to use on the Internet than if I actually had the books in my own library.  Save your money.  Use the Internet!  But one of the commentaries they don't have at this web site is Lenski's commentary on the Greek of the New Testament.  You may want to buy that one.  It's that good.
