How Much God Loves You
1. If you want to know how much God loves you, look at the stars.
2. There are many more stars in the sky than there are grains of sand on earth. The stars are without number. Scientists had to invent a number. They called it a "google." That's the number of the stars. It means that nobody knows the number - except God! He counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by name. Psalm 147:4
3. If you walk outside under the stars at night, you will see God's love. There it is - so vast that it cannot be measured. God's love for you is written in Psalm 103 The vastness of space and the stars are mentioned in verse 11.
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle's... Psalm 103 1-5 ...For as the heavens are high above the earth, So great is His love toward those who fear Him. Psalm 103:11
4. How high are the heavens above the earth? Some say the edge of the universe is fifteen billion light years away. But that's only a guess.
5. God's love for you is so vast and so infinite that He sent His only
Son, Jesus, into this world to live and die - for you.God demonstrates His love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
6. God's love for you does not change. It is more eternal and unchanging than the stars. I have loved you with an everlasting love. Jeremiah 31:3
7. Christians are to be rooted and grounded in this love -
that they might be filled with all the fullness of God....that Christ may dwell (live) in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height - to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:17-19 NKJV
